Vegeta

Vegeta was born on the planet Vegeta, he was born with an incredibly high power level. He was sent alone, even at his young age, to conquer planets by Freeza's orders. Later on he found out about the Dragon Balls from Raditz and traveled to Earth to wish for immortality. He basically defeated Goku, but Krillin bounced the Genki Dama back at him and he was forced to flee Earth. He went on through his life and married Bulma and had a son named Trunks and a daughter named Bra. He is the second most powerful Saiyan alive and is the first to go Super Saiyan 1½. He first went Super Saiyan while training in a meteor storm, his anger of Goku being stronger than him fueled his transformation. He ends up saving alot of the other characters from death and always shows up at the right time. He finally turns pure good when he sacrifices his life for Trunks. Though he may seem evil and cunning, he is good at heart and always there to help a friend

The hero of our story. Throughout the entire series, Gokou's distinctive traits that made him such a popular hero remained the same. He has a good and pure heart, without being overly sweet that he gives you a toothache; he is na? and innocent, but not stupid. Somewhat similar, perhaps, to why so many people like Forrest Gump.

Originally sent to earth as a baby on a mission.. to destroy the living inhabitants of earth so the planet can be sold to other races across the galaxy, Kakarot fell off a ravine and lost his memory, becoming the nice boy that we know of today.

In doing things, Gokou never seems to mind what others might think of his actions, as long as he knows that there is no harm in what he is doing. Some may call this cluelessness, and though it might be true in certain cases, nevertheless, Gokou has taken on a carefree look at the all things, something the stressed out people of the world need to learn to do.

Bardock

Years ago, Freeza took over the Saiyan planet and used its inhabitants, the Saiyans, to act as mecenaries to destroy other planets. On one battle, Bardock is with his teammates and wipes out another planet. But, Toora, a surviving member of the dying planet, curses Bardock with the ability to see his cursed future. Tooro is killed and Bardock recovers back in the Saiyan planet. Meanwhile, Bardock's son, Kakarot, is born. In addition, Freeza begins to grow tired of seeing the Saiyans as one of his henchmen avises that the Saiyans can become a threat when banded together. At this time, Vegeta is a kid and has a high energy level for his age. He asks Freeza to send him to another planet to destroy and leaves with Nappa.

As Bardock recovered, his teammates leave to destroy another planet without him. After regaining consciousness, Bardock learns what has happened and leaves to join his teammates. At the planet, all goes normal until Bardock sees his teammates dead. A dying Saiyan is found by Bardock. From him, Bardock learns of Freeza's plot to destroy the Saiyan planet. Next, Bardock encounters some of Freeza's henchmen and fights. But, Bardock sees his son growing up in his head and loses concentration. Despite the headache, Bardock manages to defeat all the henchmen except for Dodoria. Dodoria blows a single fireball and defeats Bardock. Meanwhile, Kakarot is sent to the planet Earth to destroy it when he grows up.

Bardock survives, but is severely injured. Despite this, he travels back to the planet Vegeta to warn the other Saiyans of Freeza's plot. Bardock finds and tells his comrades, but the Saiyans think of the plot as a joke and mock Bardock. Bardock is angry and decides that he must change the future... alone. Freeza's spaceship approaches and Bardock flies toward it in rage. (Meanwhile, Coola's ship flies away on the other side.) Hundreds of Freeza's henchmen are despatched from his ship and attack Bardock. Bardock defeats those who fly at him. Freeza exits his ship and laughes at Bardock. Bardock does his final fireball in an attempt to destroy Freeza and alter the fate of his planet. Freeza laughes some more and easily creates a super fireball. His fireball overwhelms Bardock's fireball and continues flying towards the Saiyan planet. Bardock, the planet Vegeta, and all in its path (including Freeza's henchmen who were sent to destroy Bardock) are destroyed. Bardock sees the future one last time before he dies. He sees his planet get destroyed... He sees his son growing up... And he sees a grown up Kakarot encounter Freeza... And dies a happy death...

Vegeta and Nappa were at another planet at the time, so they survive. They are told that their planet was hit by a meteor and destroyed, but Vegeta gives no signs of concern. Kakarot's two other brother (Rabitz and Taurus) were also elsewhere and survive. As for Kakarot, he lands on planet Earth and is found by Son Gohan. Gohan adopts Kakarot and names his new grandson Gokou.

Thus, begins the magnificient story of Dragonball...

Goten

Goten is Goku and Chi-Chi's second child. He is not very smart since Chi-Chi never pushes him into studying. Goten has no manners like his father and has an appetite to match. Goten is also a fighter. As a child his best friend is Trunks. They also have about the same power level.

Gohan

Gohan is as pure as his father Goku. Gohan is not as naive as his father though. Gohan is pushed into studying at a very young age by his mother Chi-Chi so he is very smart. He also starts out as a bit of a crybaby. This is because Chi-Chi won't let him train. Gohan trains when captured by Picollo and becomes one of the strongest characters in DBZ. Gohan also develops a deep paternal like affection for his trainer, Picollo. Eventually Gohan marries Videl and becomes a scholar.

Trunks

In DBZ there are two Trunks. One is referred to as Future Trunks the other is called young Trunks. Future Trunks comes from the future to give Goku heart medicine for a rare disease. Trunks is intent on saving his time from the evil androids. He mostly shows up to help. He is not in the series long. Young Trunks is the Trunks during Goku's time. He is born about a year before Goten. Young Trunks is very mischievous and he loves to fight.

Picollo

Picollo is a very strong warrior and ally of Goku. At one time, however, Picollo wanted to kill Gokou for killing his father. Picollo turned good when training Gohan. During the training Picollo developed a deep paternal love for Gohan even to the point of sacrificing his life for him. Picollo by nature is a very cold person. He is a brilliant strategist and fighter. Picollo is also a loner. He would rather spend time alone without noise then around his friends/allies. Picollo also has very sensitive ears and can not take high pitched noises.

Krillin

Krillin was originally a monk and Goku's rival. Krillin eventually got to be really good friends with Goku. Krillin is very cowardly. He is, however, the strongest of all the true humans. Krillin is a very good fighter and is very tough when he is not being afraid. Krillin also gets to be really good friends with Gohan.

Yamcha

Yamcha starts out as one of the strongest warriors. In DragonballZ however Yamcha soon becomes one of the weakest warriors. Yamcha starts out very shy around girls, but soon start to date Bulma. Yamcha is kind of over confident and it is his downfall.

Chi-Chi

Chi-Chi is one of the most pushy characters in DBZ. Chi-Chi is also a few bricks short of a wall. She can totally flip out at times, especially when she thinks that Gohan might be hurt. Chi-Chi is weak, but she is a pretty good fighter. As an adult, she first met Goku in a fighting tournament. If I remember correctly, she was in the finals. Chi-Chi would rather have Gohan study than fight. This is why she pushes him into studying so hard.

Bulma

Bulma is a very moody and arrogant woman. She marries Vegeta and has trunks. Bulma is a genius, (taking after her father). She invents the Dragonball radar. Bulma is also very obnoxious. Her big mouth is always getting her into trouble. For some odd reason she always expects Krillin to save her. Bulma also has an extremely bad temper which can make her a very bad person to be around at times.
